Lanes Drainage Services UK - Sheffield

Lanes Group began in 1992 as Lanes for Drains, a Leeds-based drain cleaning and repair specialist employing five people. Lanes Drainage Services UK now has over 2000 staff across 20 operational depots. Lanes Sheffield serves domestic, commercial and industrial clients. It specialises in advising commercial organisations on the proper disposal of fats, oils, and grease, and in helping industrial clients with their drainage. Services include cleaning, repairs, surveying and installations. Lanes Sheffield offers CCTV drainage surveys and uses cured-in-place pipe lining (CIPP) to fix broken drainage infrastructure.

It serves Wakefield, Doncaster, Hull, Mansfield, Chesterfield, Lincoln, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, and Worksop. For industrial clients, Lanes offers a full service agreement and formal presentation, including initial surveys and annual maintenance visits. Lanes provides septic tank emptying and cleaning services, home buyers drainage surveys, drain unblocking and clearance, CCTV drain surveying, and sewer services including inspections, relining and repair. Septic tank services include installation, removal and routine emptying.

Lanes Drainage Services UK in Sheffield handles drainage work that includes drain unblocking, video inspections of pipework and septic tank or sewage disposal tasks, according to the accounts left by customers. Positive reviews describe the team as experienced and willing to give helpful advice over the phone, with one customer praising Alex from the Sheffield depot as friendly and efficient, and clear in explaining what a camera survey of altered drains had found. Several reviewers note that problems were dealt with quickly and that staff took time to talk through the work.

A recurring complaint, however, concerns pricing: more than one customer reports that a quoted figure was raised once the company learned the caller was a landlord rather than a tenant, and that the same house and same blockage attracted a higher charge depending on who was paying. Others describe an operative leaving without the blockage properly cleared, and telephone manner being poor. These accounts of billing and unfinished work sit alongside the praise for technical knowledge and willingness to attend.
